    Career Coaching

    Find answers to your professional questions during a private counseling session with a leading career strategist. Accessible to all attendees during networking breaks throughout the conference, these career coaches will be at the Career Connection booth to provide expert advice to help you advance your anti-fraud career. One-on-one sessions may be scheduled in advance with Carl Wellenstein, Sharon Armstrong and Donn LeVie Jr; sessions are 50 minutes long and cost $50.

    Schedule a 30-minute session ($30) with an expert who will provide tips and recommendations to make your résumé stand out from the rest. A limited number of sessions are available with career strategists Kimberly Schneiderman and Glenn Bass.

    The Presentation Stage, located in the Exhibit Hall, offers brief career development presentations that are full of tips and suggestions on how to get ahead and stay ahead in your career. All sessions are presented by veteran hiring manager Donn LeVie Jr.

    You have 5 to 7 seconds to grab the hiring manager’s attention in a cover letter. Find out how to do it and get called in for an interview.

    15-Minute Résumé Makeover
    Monday, 1:20 – 1:35 p.m. 

    Learn how to convince hiring managers that you are the problem solver they have been looking for with a résumé formatted in the right order and that highlights your accomplishments.

    15-Minute Job Interview Makeover
    Tuesday, 8:00 – 8:15 a.m.

    Leave the hiring manager with a memorable interview by learning how to control every aspect of it.

    Career Coaches

    24th-LeVie Donn LeVie Jr.
    Author and former hiring manager Donn LeVie Jr. has reviewed more than a thousand résumés and cover letters and interviewed hundreds of candidates for positions in a variety of industries. LeVie’s latest book, Confessions of a Hiring Manager Rev 2. 0 (Second Edition) is the Winner of the 2012 International Book Award for Business—Careers and the Winner of the 2012 Global eBook Award for Careers—Employment. He is also the author of 50 Things You Can Do NOW to Help Keep Your Job.

    Today, he writes books on job and career strategies and speaks at conferences, college campuses, military installations, trade and business schools, and professional associations on creating and managing effective job and career strategies. 

    24th-Schneiderman Kimberly Schneiderman, NCRW, CLTMC, CEIC 
    Kimberly Schneiderman, owner of City Career Services, provides career strategy coaching to goal-oriented managers and executives in the security, fraud and investigation industry. She has authored numerous career-related articles and videos, and presents workshops on search strategies, interviewing skills, resumes and on-the-job performance tactics. Kimberly’s clients appreciate the one-on-one attention from her and the immediate results they get with her job search tools and coaching. 

    24th-Armstrong Sharon Armstrong, PHR, CMF
    Sharon Armstrong has more than twenty years of experience as a career coach, trainer and human resource consultant. Founder of Sharon Armstrong and Associates and author of three Human Resources books, she is known for her ability to listen compassionately, ask relevant questions and offer guidance drawing on her wide-ranging knowledge of the business world and career management issues. She has coached all levels of employees in a variety of industries to develop and implement successful career management plans.

    Carl Wellenstein, founder and president of ExecGlobalNet, helps executives, managers, experienced staff and professionals find careers they are passionate about and he guides them from where they are now to where they want to be. He is a frequent speaker and writer on career issues for people making mid-life job and career changes and holds professional certificates as a job and career transitions coach (JCTC) and in coaching and mentoring.
