The ACFE Global Fraud Conference is the world’s largest gathering of fraud fighters, with more than 3,000 attendees representing more than 60 countries. For attendees traveling from outside of the U.S., the following information may be helpful in planning your visit.

    Visa Information

You may need a visa to enter the U.S. Because of world events, visa applications are subject to a greater degree of scrutiny than in the past. The greater scrutiny means a longer waiting period, the State Department recommends that you begin your visa application process well in advance of your travel dates.

Visa requirements vary from country to country. Contact the U.S. embassy or consulate in the country where you live to determine if you will need a visa and/or a visa support letter to visit the U.S. (You may apply for a visa at any U.S. consular office, but it may be more difficult to qualify if you apply from outside your country of permanent residence.) Locate a consular office.

The decision to grant visas belongs solely to the embassy/consulate. The ACFE cannot promise that you or your colleagues will receive a visa. Likewise, the ACFE cannot change the decision of the governmental agency should your application be denied. For more information on applying for a visa, visit the U.S. State Department website.

If you are denied a visa or you do not receive your visa in time to attend, your registration fees will be refunded provided that you notify us prior to the cancellation period as defined in the cancellation policy.

    Letter of Invitation

Some countries require a letter of invitation to be submitted as part of the visa application process. The ACFE will only issue letters for persons who have registered and paid for the event or conference. The ACFE can send the invitation letter by the following options:

    • Send a PDF of the letter to support your visa application via email. The letter will be in color, so it can be easily printed with a color printer. You will receive it within 1-2 business days of your request.
    • Mail the letter via USPS First Class Priority Mail International. USPS states that it typically takes 6-10 business days to be received, however, delivery is not guaranteed within this time. The shipment can be tracked.
    • Send the letter via Express Mail International. By shipping by this method, you should receive your invitation letter in 3-5 days, however delivery is not guaranteed within this time. The shipment can be tracked. The fee for shipping by Express Mail International can be up to $30 (cost varies by country). This cost will have to be paid prior to the letter being mailed.

If you need an invitation letter, email the ACFE Events Department at Events@ACFE.com with your request. Because of the number of requests received for visa support letters, please submit your request as soon as possible.

    Getting Around in Nashville

Conveniently located in the downtown area, Nashville's Music City Center is within easy walking distance of conference hotels, restaurants and attractions.

    Airport Shuttle

The Jarmon Transportation, 615-275-0146, is located on the ground level of the airport and offers transportation to all Downtown & Metropolitan Nashville Area Hotels. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes from the airport. Reservations are not required for service from the airport.

    Parking

The Music City Center offers a three-level covered garage, located on 6th Avenue and Demonbreun. There are three entrances to the garage: one on 7th & Demonbreun and two on 6th Avenue between Demonbreun and Korean Veterans Boulevard. Daily and hourly rates apply.

    Taxis

Cabs are available from the taxi stand on the ground level of the airport. Nashville features a flat-fee service triangle between the airport, downtown and Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. From point to point, taxi fares are currently set at $25 per cab for up to four passengers; within the triangle, charges should not exceed the flat-rate fare, which should be posted in the rear window of the taxi. For trips outside the triangle, consult the meter rates posted in the cab.

    Ride Share

Lyft and Uber are both active in Nashville. Download the app and request a ride. A nearby driver will be dispatched to your location within minutes. The Nashville International Airport was the first airport in the country to allow ride-sharing services to operate on the property.
