What if I need to cancel my registration?

Our cancellation policy is intended to keep costs low for attendees. Due to financial obligations incurred by ACFE, Inc. you must cancel your registration prior to the start of the event. Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to an event start date are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received on or after the start date of the event. Those who do not cancel and do not attend are responsible for the full registration fee. Can I register for the Annual Conference by phone?

How do I know if I'm registered?
You will receive an emailed confirmation once we process your completed registration form or handle the registration over the phone.
What if I sign up for an event that is already full?
You will not be able to register for an event that is full. The session will be marked closed.
When will I receive my name badge?
Your badge will be in your registration packet and will be available when registration opens.
How do I pay with a purchase order?
We will need to have a copy of the purchase order, so either mail it in or fax it in to us. Government or educational institutions only.
Will handouts be provided onsite?
Course books for the pre and post conference will be handed to you when you when you first come to the registration desk. An online link to the main conference course materials will be provided before the event and be printed prior to arriving at the conference. A CD will be provided to all conference attendee with all course materials for future reference.
How can I pay my balance?
You can pay with a credit card, check, wire transfer, money order, or cash on site.
What about a photo ID?
Photo ID is not required.

Where can I see a list of the programs happening at the Annual Conference?
Before the event, just click on the Programs & Sessions tab at the top of the page and you will find all you need to know about each session. The About the Conference tab at the top will give you information regarding Special Events, Award Ceremonies, etc. occurring at the conference.
While you are at the conference, you will see signage directing you to the appropriate location of each session.

When does housing open?
You can contact the hotel now to reserve your room(s).
How do I get the ACFE rates at hotel?
Contact the Bellagio directly and identify yourself as a 20th Annual ACFE Fraud Conference attendee, exhibitor or sponsor to receive the ACFE discounted rate. The group rate for the conference will be honored until the contracted block of rooms has been sold out or until the June 8, 2009 reservation deadline has expired, whichever occurs first.
You must submit a credit card or deposit equal to (1) night's room rate, plus tax as a guarantee, at the time the reservation is made. Attendee's credit card will be charged the (1) night's room rate plus tax at that time. Room reservations not guaranteed will be automatically canceled by the Bellagio within (14) days of the reservation date. Refunds will be issued if cancellation is received by the Bellagio at least (48) hours in advance of the confirmed arrival.

How can I make a special needs request?
The ACFE will gladly arrange for special accommodations if you have a disability or dietary need that might otherwise limit your participation in conference. Simply check the appropriate box on the registration form or contact the ACFE at +1 (512) 478-9000 / (800) 245-3321 prior conference. After June 30, 2009 we cannot guarantee we can accommodate your request.
What do I wear to this conference?
Dress for all daytime events is business casual. To ensure your comfort during the workshops and other events, please bring a sweater or light jacket. Las Vegas' July temperatures range from a dry, but hot 105 degrees to a cooler 81 degrees in the evening. Casual wear is accepted nearly everywhere you go and comfortable walking shoes are a must.
Smoking Policy
The Nevada Clean Indoor Act prohibits smoking in indoor public spaces. As a result, smoking is not permitted in the meeting and convention spaces. Additionally, smoking is not permitted in restaurants, lounges where food is served, hotel lobbies, elevators, guest room hallways, theaters, arenas, arcades, retail stores and other indoor public spaces. The Casino floor and certain lounges where food is not served are exempt.
Meal Policy
Meals will be provided at the following:
- Pre-Conference: Refreshments break only
- Main Conference: Refreshment breaks, Continental Breakfasts each day, and (2) group lunches (lunch not served Wednesday, July 15)
- Post-Conference: Refreshments breaks, Continental Breakfast and one group lunch
