What if I need to cancel my registration?
Please contact ACFE directly at (800) 245-3321 / +1 (512) 478-9000 to cancel your registration.
Our cancellation policy is intended to keep costs low for attendees. Due to financial obligations incurred by ACFE, Inc. you must cancel your registration prior to the start of the event. Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to an event start date are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received on or after the start date of the event. Those who do not cancel and do not attend are responsible for the full registration fee. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

How do I know if I'm registered? You will receive an emailed confirmation once we process your completed registration form or handle the registration over the phone.
What if I sign up for an event that is already full?
You will not be able to register for a breakout session that is full. The session will be marked closed.
When will I receive my name badge?
Your badge will be in your registration packet and will be available when registration opens.
How do I pay with a purchase order?
We will need to have a copy of the purchase order, so either mail or fax it in to us. Government or educational institutions only.
Will handouts be provided onsite?
Course books for the Pre- and Post-Conferences will be handed to you when you first arrive at the registration desk. An online link to the Main Conference course materials will be provided before the event and may be printed prior to arriving at the conference. A CD will be provided to all conference attendees with all course materials for future reference.
How can I pay my balance?
You can pay with a credit card, check, wire transfer, money order, or cash on site.
What about a photo ID?
Photo ID is not required.

Where can I see a list of the programs happening at the Annual Conference?
Before the event, just click on the Programs & Sessions tab at the top of the page and you will find all you need to know about each session. The About the Conference tab at the top will give you information regarding Special Events, Award Ceremonies, etc. occurring at the conference.
While you are at the conference, you will see signage directing you to the appropriate location of each session.
Can I see the full schedule before I arrive?
Before the event, just click on the Programs & Sessions tab at the top of the page and you will find all you need to know about each session.
How do I get to the Tuesday Night Reception?
The Attendee Networking Reception will be held at The Sunset Room, located at 137 National Plaza, which is a short walking distance from Gaylord National.
Network with fellow attendees, ACFE faculty and staff while taking in D.C.’s picturesque views and historic landmarks from the banks of the Potomac River at the Attendee Networking Reception. Enjoy drinks and light hors d’oeuvres while building your professional and social network. This event provides a great opportunity to meet new colleagues and potential clients and customers, as well as catch up with old friends in a relaxed, social setting.

Stay connected during the conference at the on-site Cyber Café, located in the Exhibit Hall. Check your e-mail, connect to the Internet or download files in your free time. The ACFE Cyber Café will feature:

How do I get the ACFE rates at hotel?

A daily resort fee will be added to the guest room rate upon check-in. This fee covers wired and wireless high-speed internet access, fitness center access, designated complimentary in-room beverages, daily newspaper, local and toll free 800 telephone calls (20 minutes per call). Resort fee is currently $15.00 per day and is subject to change. Room rate is subject to availability and exclusive of applicable taxes. Room rate will be honored until the contracted block of rooms has been sold out or until the June 21, 2010 deadline has expired, whichever occurs first.
Attendees must submit a credit card or deposit equal to (1) night’s room rate, plus tax as a guarantee, at the time the reservation is made. Attendee’s credit card will be charged the (1) night’s room rate plus tax at that time. Reservations cancelled after July 11, 2010 will not be refunded the deposit.

How can I make a special needs request?
The ACFE will gladly arrange for special accommodations if you have a disability or dietary need that might otherwise limit your participation in the conference. Simply check the appropriate box on the registration form or contact the ACFE at +1 (512) 478-9000 / (800) 245-3321 prior to June 21, 2010. Requests submitted after June 21, 2010, cannot be guaranteed.
What do I wear to this conference?
Dress for all daytime events is business casual. To ensure your comfort during the workshops and other events, please bring a sweater or light jacket. The average July temperatures in Washington, D.C. range from a cool 67°F to a warm 89°F. Casual wear is accepted nearly everywhere you go and comfortable walking shoes are a must.
Smoking Policy
To preserve the pristine conditions of its hotel, Gaylord National is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in all guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms and interior public space.
Meal Policy
Meals will be provided at the following:
