| Sunday, July 13 | ||
1:00 - 2:10 p.m. |
Improving Your Writing Skills This session will help you stop and think about your writing habits - both good and bad - and help you focus on areas where you may need improvement. These tips will not only help you write better reports, but better letters and e-mails as well. |
|
2:25 - 3:35 p.m. |
Using a Standard Format This session will introduce you to the standard reporting format recommended by the ACFE. This report format should work for most fraud examinations, but it can be easily adapted for other situations as necessary. |
|
3:50 - 5:00 p.m. |
Assessing Your Audience and Modifying Your Report This session will focus on the different audiences for your reports and how you may need to adjust your format and tone for different situations. Expert witnesses, consultants, law enforcement, and auditors often need to modify the standard format to meet the particular needs of their employer, their client, or the prosecutor. This section will provide some examples of reporting formats for these groups. |
