Yuen Teen Mak is an associate professor of accounting at the National University of Singapore, where he specialises in corporate governance. Professor Mak developed the Governance and Transparency Index (GTI) and was the Singapore expert involved in developing the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. He has also edited more than 150 case studies, which cover corporate governance, ethics, fraud, corruption and risk management.
Yuen Teen Mak has served on committees that developed and revised the Code of Corporate Governance for listed companies in Singapore. He is a member of the Corporate Governance Advisory Committee formed by Monetary Authority of Singapore in 2019 to promote good governance practices among Singapore-listed companies. He also served on the audit advisory committees of two United Nations agencies, and has served as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of two large not-for-profit organisations.

Eric Lam leads the cybersecurity solutions group at Microsoft Asia-Pacific and Japan. The group’s mission is to empower organizations to modernize their platforms by delivering the expertise and services needed to keep their infrastructure and information safe from modern threats.
Before joining Microsoft, he was director for fraud and risk intelligence, Asia-Pacific and Japan for RSA Security. Before RSA, Lam was with Symantec, holding responsibility for endpoint security, data loss prevention, and governance, risk and compliance solutions. In these roles, Lam has served as an advisor to organizations in identifying security risks to their information technology infrastructures, helping protect their information technology systems and applications from cyber attacks and achieving compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Graeme Samuel, AC, is a Professorial Fellow in Monash University’s Business School and School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine. He was a member of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority’s (APRA) Panel to conduct a Prudential Inquiry into the culture, governance and accountability of Commonwealth Bank of Australia and is currently chair of the panel conducting a Capability Review of APRA. He has recently conducted a review for the Commonwealth Government of the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct. He is also President of Dementia Australia, Chair of the Dementia Australia Research Foundation, Chair of the South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network, Chair of Lorica Health Pty Ltd, a CMCRC company, Director of the Digital Health CRC, Chair of Airlines for Australia and New Zealand (A4ANZ), and Chair of the National Health and Medical Research Council National Institute for Dementia Research.

Xavier André Justo is a former Petrosaudi International executive who leaked Petrosaudi documents to expose the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, which brought attention to the corruption in multiple countries worldwide. Justo was imprisoned in Thailand for 18 months under false charges and returned to Geneva after his release in December 2016.
Tom Wright

Tom Wright is an investigative journalist and Pulitzer finalist. He is the co-author of New York Times bestseller Billion Dollar Whale, the true story of a Wharton University graduate, Jho Low, who orchestrated one of the world’s largest financial heists—and used the proceeds to build a Hollywood empire.
Most recently, Wright was the Wall Street Journal’s Asia economics editor. After beginning his career in Jakarta, he was the paper’s Pakistan correspondent. In 2013, Wright moved to Hong Kong in his role as Asia economics editor. While there, he discovered the story behind Billion Dollar Whale in what has become widely known as the 1MDB scandal. A businessman from Malaysia, Jho Low, used his extensive social connections to convince the country’s Prime Minister, Najib Razak, to create an investment fund. This fund, 1MDB, was financed with government money, and investment banks helped raise another $10bn for it.
Bruce Dorris, J.D., CFE, CPA

Bruce Dorris is the President and Chief Executive Officer for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He also serves as an advisory member to the ACFE Board of Regents. Dorris has conducted anti-fraud training for the United Nations, the American Bankers Association, colleges and universities around the world, as well as with the FBI, GAO and other federal and state law enforcement agencies in the U.S. Dorris has been with the ACFE for 11 years, previously serving as Vice President and Program Director, and is proud to be involved in the continued growth and professional direction of the world’s largest anti-fraud organization.
Prior to joining the ACFE, Dorris earned his Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1993 and is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Texas and Louisiana. He served as a prosecutor in Louisiana for 13 years, focusing primarily on financial crime investigations.
Matthew Fleming, CFE

Matthew Fleming leads the Asia-Pacific practice of forensic services at KordaMentha and is responsible for conducting protracted complex fraud investigations, foreign bribery investigations asset tracing assignments, AML, and factual investigations. Before joining KordaMentha, Fleming worked in the investigations and forensics practice at a Big 4 accounting firm. His experience includes time living and working in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and China. He also has experience conducting investigations in Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India. Fleming has also been engaged in work in Europe and the Americas.
His experience has culminated in successful investigations, asset identification, foreign corruption campaigns and containment and assessment of sensitive physical security matters. He has extensive experience in revenue fraud issues and transactional analysis. Fleming has presented evidence in respect of these matters at the highest level.
Before consulting, Fleming spent more than 11 years in the New South Wales Police force in positions ranging from investigator to senior criminal prosecutor.
Alexander Nasr, CFE, GCFE

A Director at Blackpeak’s Hong Kong office, Alex Nasr has more than nine years of Asia-Pacific research, analysis and project management experience. His work in recent years has focused on complex corporate fraud, corruption and litigation support investigations. Nasr is also experienced in digital forensics/e-discovery, complex pre-transaction due diligence, targeted political risk investigations and business intelligence research. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and holds the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) qualification in digital forensics.
Prior to joining Blackpeak, Nasr was an associate managing director at the Hong Kong office of a U.S.-based investigations firm. He previously worked in project management and senior analyst roles for an international investigations firm, and as a crisis management analyst for an international investment bank.
Shalinder Taneja, CFE, CA, CISA

Shalinder Taneja is senior vice president of internal audit (IA) at Singapore-listed Olam International Limited. He has more than 18 years of experience in internal audit and has worked at Olam since 2002. His areas of specialisation include managing global cross-cultural audit teams, anchoring and conducting complex operational audits, operational risk mapping, data analytics and fraud detection, identifying new tools to increase the impact of the IA function, as well as improving stakeholder relationships with the IA function through active engagement.

Diana Ngo is an associate director in Control Risks’ Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence practice. Her core focus is on business intelligence and integrity risk consulting, as well as supporting the growth of the Control Risks’ client base in Southeast Asia. Ngo is particularly proficient in social media investigative research and has conducted several trainings for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Hong Kong Police.
Ngo joined Control Risks from an Asia-Pacific focused, boutique, investigative research firm where she executed complex pre-investment investigative due diligence and post-investment litigation support cases across Southeast Asia, Oceania and South Asia.
Allanna Rigby

Allanna Rigby is the regional lead for data analytics at Control Risks in the Asia-Pacific region. She specialises in providing data-led proactive solutions to reduce fraud and financial crime exposure, fusing intelligence techniques and data analytics to enhance investigative methodologies and providing insightful analysis and forecasts to reduce risk exposure. Prior to joining Control Risks, Rigby was a senior manager at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). She built and led the intelligence team within the corporate security function and provided proactive financial crime advice and geopolitical intelligence to global strategic decision-makers across the bank.
She has eight years’ experience providing strategic intelligence and financial crime advice, as well as leading high-profile investigations for various investment and retail banks worldwide. Rigby’s global experience includes Europe, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region and Australia.
Saket Bhartia, CFE, CIA, CCEP-I, CA

Saket Bhartia is based in Singapore and is an associate partner with EY’s Forensic and Integrity Services covering the Association of Southeast Asian Nations region. He has more than 19 years of experience in fraud risk assessments, corporate investigations, anti-bribery and corruption reviews, FCPA/U.K. Bribery Act compliance, and dispute advisory. Bhartia led several investigations and has assisted multiple multinational corporations (MNCs) in setting the anti-bribery and corruption framework in line with global standards.
Bhartia is the founder and former president of the Bangalore, India Chapter of the ACFE. He was also the president and secretary of the Bangalore, India Chapter of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Before EY, he worked with global MNCs such as Capgemini, Hewlett Packard, Vodafone, KPMG and PwC.

Abdallah Alomari has six years of experience in enhanced due diligence, know your customer (KYC) programs, and compliance and open-source investigations in the Middle East and Africa. He also has three years of experience in computer biometric applications for security and identity verification purposes.
He currently works as KYC specialist at Credit Agricole Bank in Singapore. He is the founder and general manager of KYC Jordan, a compliance media platform. Alomari is also a member of the ACFE Advisory Council and treasurer of ACFE – Jordan Chapter.
