Keynote Speaker

Damian Williams

United States Attorney, Southern District of New York

Damian Williams is the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Nominated in August 2021 and confirmed by the United States Senate in October 2021, Mr. Williams is the chief federal law enforcement officer for the District.

Prior to his confirmation as United States Attorney, Mr. Williams served as Chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force in the Southern District of New York. As an Assistant United States Attorney, Mr. Williams primarily investigated and prosecuted white collar cases involving corruption in financial markets and politics. Among other matters, he prosecuted Congressman Chris Collins for insider trading and lying to the FBI, and New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver for bribery, extortion, and money laundering.

Mr. Williams earned an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University, an M.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He served as a law clerk to Judge Merrick B. Garland of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and then to Justice John Paul Stevens of the United States Supreme Court.

Shaun Barry

Global Director of Fraud & Security Intelligence, SAS

Shaun Barry is a renowned expert in fraud and integrity, with a specific focus on government and healthcare. Shaun has worked to foster innovation and efficiency globally with governments at central, state/provincial and local levels), healthcare payers, and other organizations for 30 years. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, and he has testified before legislative bodies for numerous governments. Shaun has also served on advisory boards that provide citizen oversight to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Presently, he oversees a team of 35 experts who use data and analytics to help government and healthcare organizations work better.

Prior to joining SAS, Shaun worked as a public servant for U.S. state government agencies in Ohio and South Carolina. For the state of Ohio, he served as the top aide to Tax Commissioner Roger Tracy and was responsible for replacing the IT systems that supported the Department of Taxation.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University.

Lyn Cameron, CFE, LLB

Senior Director, Business Conduct Investigations, Microsoft Corporation

Lyn is the Senior Director leading Microsoft’s Business Conduct Investigation Team, part of the Microsoft Audit, Risk and Compliance Group. She joined Microsoft in 2011 and oversees a global team of investigators tasked with investigating employee misconduct including allegations of corruption, fraud, and conflicts of interest.

At the forefront of her leadership strategy has been driving digital transformation and the use of technology to develop best-in-class investigative practices such as integrated case management solutions, automated workflows, case complexity measurements, real-time case analytics and investigation practice maturity models.

Lyn has more than three decades of experience in conducting and managing investigations and investigation teams in the corporate, consulting and law enforcement realms. Before joining Microsoft, Lyn led a global team at Cisco Systems, where she was responsible for Ethics and Investigations. She also spent five years with a Big 4 firm in their UK Forensic and Dispute Consulting practice conducting investigations for clients around the globe as well as consulting on Anti-Corruption and ethics initiatives. In addition, she has 13+ years of law enforcement experience as a Detective in the Australian Federal Police specializing in fraud and corruption investigations. Lyn holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, she is a Certified Fraud Examiner and is Regent Emeritus of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Jeremy Dane

Managing Director - Forensic Services, BDO

Jeremy Dane’s career has focused on providing consulting in civil and criminal matters with a particular emphasis and specialized expertise in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, fraud due diligence reviews and compliance assessments. With more than 23 years of investigations and compliance experience, Jeremy is frequently engaged as both a litigation consultant and forensic accountant, primarily in the areas of fraudulent schemes (e.g., kickbacks) and corruption and bribery (e.g., Foreign Corruption Practices Act). His work conducting investigations and compliance assessments has taken him around the globe to service clients in North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Jeremy has experience in helping his clients strengthen their controls to prevent, detect and monitor for fraud; he also helps catch the individuals who are defrauding them. His strengths include designing and implementing anti-corruption compliance programs, performing compliance assessments and investigating potential fraud at his clients.

Chris DeAngelis

Vice President, Enterprise Fraud Strategy, Zelis

Chris DeAngelis has over 20 years of fraud fighting experience and is currently the Vice President of Enterprise Fraud Strategy and Prevention at Zelis, a company focused on modernizing the healthcare financial experience for all. Before entering the healthcare sector, he acquired expertise related to card and digital payments, mobile wallets, Buy Now Pay Later and consumer banking and loan products by serving in key leadership roles in fintech (PayPal), as well as banking (Capital One, Chase, Citi). A Certified Fraud Examiner and frequent industry speaker and panelist on fraud and financial crime topics, his education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Widener University and a Master of Science degree in Administration of Justice and Homeland Security from Wilmington University.

Corey Dunbar

Partner, Data Forensics Practice Leader, BDO

Corey is a Partner with BDO’s Forensics practice and the leader of the Data Forensics practice. He specializes in data analytics pertaining to the detection of fraud, bribery, corruption, compliance risks, and other forms of nefarious activity occurring within accounting, financial, and communicational data. Corey also specializes in the operations and technology enablement of Compliance programs.

Corey has significant experience working with global companies in heavily regulated industries. He is often engaged to assist with designing, developing, and implementing compliance monitoring solutions and platforms. His efforts have included the design and implementation of predictive, risk-based models as well as other forensic data mining techniques in both proactive control frameworks and large-scale global investigations.

Jen Dunham, CFE

Customer Advisory Manager, Americas Global Technology Practice, SAS Institute

Jen Dunham specializes in advising organizations on analytic adoption, technology transformation and best practices. Leading the Cloud, Data & Analytics Team within SAS’ Global Technology Practice, Dunham and her team of experts help organizations solve complex business problems and modernize their analytics programs.

Dunham served as an all-source intelligence analyst in the United States Army for seven years, and has worked closely with security organizations around the world since then. Additionally, Dunham is experienced in investigations, counterterrorism, counterespionage and counternarcotics. As a Certified Fraud Examiner, she also focuses on analytics that address fraud and financial crimes.

For her work, Dunham has received commendations from the U.S. Army, NATO and the FBI.

Nancy Freda-Smith, CFE, CPA

Chief Risk and Audit Officier, Ralph Lauren Corporation

Nancy Freda-Smith is the Chief Risk and Audit Officer at Ralph Lauren Corporation responsible for leading the enterprise risk management, global internal audit, and asset protection departments. Her primary function is to identify and assess key strategic business risks, relating to cybersecurity, internal controls, and business continuity, and provide strategic advice and support to the executive management team and the Company’s Board of Directors to identify emerging strategic opportunities and threats. Before her role at Ralph Lauren Corporation, she was a Managing Director at Deloitte. She has extensive international experience living and working abroad. Nancy also was the co-chairperson of the Network of Executive Women, a networking for consumer products companies, and was the recipient of the “Best of the Best” leadership award. Nancy graduated from Boston College and is a CFE, CPA.

Dov Gardin

Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management, Catalent Pharma Solutions

Dov Gardin is an award-winning risk and resiliency professional with 20 years of experience building and managing corporate risk and resiliency programs. Currently, he is Catalent’s Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management and is responsible for integrated risk, security, insurance and controlled drug substances. Previously, Gardin worked at Regeneron, AbbVie, Allergan, Merck and as a consultant in security, risk management and business continuity. He is also an Israel Defense Forces veteran having served as a combat operations leader in a paratrooper brigade.

Gardin is an advisory council member at the Smith Enterprise Risk Consortium at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and an advisory board member of Helix Decision Science, an AI start-up with verticals in risk and biotech. Educationally, he has a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Dov also holds certifications from the Business Continuity Institute and the Disaster Recovery International Institute.

Ajay Guru

Partner, Guidehouse

Ajay Guru is a partner in Guidehouse’s Financial Crime, Fraud & Investigative Services practice and leads the Fraud Technology Services practice. He has over 24 years of experience across fraud, technology, payments, consulting and services management. Prior to joining Guidehouse, Guru served as a Senior Vice President of Fraud Products at CO-OP Financial Services, where he led the fraud product group in payments technology. He has extensive experience in managing end-to-end global fraud programs, building scalable payments and fraud products and identifying opportunities to increase fraud process efficiency. He has designed and deployed successful fraud programs across many industries, including government, financial services, payments, technology, retail banking, e-commerce, petroleum, restaurant, travel and retail marketplaces.

Wendy Hans, CFE

Director, Fraud/Loss Control, American Multi-Cinema, Inc.

Wendy Hans is the Director, Fraud/Loss Control, at AMC where she collaborates with individuals across her organization to protect against fraud losses. She oversees fraud detection, investigation and prevention for 600 theatres, e-commerce and the loyalty program.

An expert in fraud risk management, Hans directs fraud data analytics, advises on fraud risk and potential mitigation and administers the fraud risk assessment. She also sits on the diversity, equity and inclusion council on the AMC Women’s Experience. Wendy previously worked in accounting systems, audit, international accounting and theatre operations during her more than 30 years at AMC.

Hans is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and has served on the chapter leaders committee and as president of the Greater Kansas City Chapter. She is currently president emeritus for the Restaurant Loss Prevention and Security Association and has been a board member since 2019.

Hans earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA from Rockhurst University.

Joseph Kaczorowski, CFE, ACDA, CIA

Vice President - Risk Technology, Analytics and Innovation, MasterCard

Joe is the Vice President of Mastercard Risk Technology, Analytics and Innovation. Since joining Mastercard in 2011, Joe has been responsible for transforming and revolutionizing audit, compliance, and risk programs through the use of data, automation, and advanced analytics including artificial intelligence. He has had the opportunity to present to a variety of audiences in the past, including the World Economic Forum's Tech for Integrity program, the London School of Economics' Career Accelerator program, and to the US Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, among others.

Outside of his career at Mastercard, Joe is a professional saxophonist, having led a national award-winning wedding band for over a decade. Joe is also involved in a variety of volunteer roles, including being a Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, serving on the Board of a community music school in Central NY, recently joining the Board of an organization focused on kids taking a “gap” year between high school and college, as well as being on the Advisory Board of a Grammy-winning chamber orchestra based in NYC. In his free time, Joe spends much of his time hiking and traveling. Joe is happy to call Kingston, NY home.

Tasneem Kalolwala, CFE, CIA, CRMA

Executive Director, Internal Audit, Bridgestone Americas, Inc.

Taz Kalolwala is the executive director, internal audit at Bridgestone Americas, Inc. She manages a team of auditors in United States and Latin America that support enterprise initiatives and improve the organization’s processes by adding to the bottom line. Kalolwala has a demonstrated history of working with key stakeholders in automotive, telecommunication and utilities as well as energy industries. She has years of progressive experience leading teams and projects, with emphasis on internal audits, fraud risk assessments, internal controls development and assurance, investigation assistance and compliance.

Kalolwala has been an ACFE and IIA member for most of her career.She is currently serving a term as the Audit Committee Chair on the IIA Nashville Chapter.

Brian Killeen

Director, Guidehouse

Brian Killeen is a Director in the Financial Crimes, Fraud and Investigative Services practice at Guidehouse. Before joining the consulting industry, he was a Senior Product Leader at NICE Actimize, where he managed the cloudification and optimization of their fraud and anti-money laundering product portfolios. Killeen has led product strategy and execution across various fincrime solutions, including digital onboarding, fraud management platforms, adverse media, entity screening and transaction monitoring. In addition, he has built and managed several fraud management programs.

He has dedicated his entire 25-year career to fighting financial crimes, starting as a law enforcement officer and then transitioning to fraud business and technology leadership roles. He has built fraud programs from the ground up at multiple financial services organizations and has led various fraud and fraud technology consulting engagements for federal agencies, financial institutions and fintechs.

Joachim Koopsingraven, CFE, CIA

Head of OEC Partner Ecosystem and Audit, Office of Ethics and Compliance, SAP SE

Joachim Koopsingraven earned a postgraduate business administration degree from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany and completed his undergraduate courses at Bond University in Australia. He started his career as an internal auditor for the German utility group RWE. He later joined the business software manufacturer SAP, where he worked as an auditor and investigator in their Corporate Audit department. After relocating to the United States, Koopsingraven now works for SAP America in the Office of Ethics and Compliance as Global Compliance Officer. He set up and led SAP’s Continuous Monitoring team and currently leads SAP’s Partner Compliance and Third Party Audit teams.

Carolyn Markiewicz, CFE, MIM

Head of Program Operations, Global Ethics & Compliance, Applied Materials

Carolyn Markiewicz is the head of program operations for the global ethics and legal compliance organization at Applied Materials. She is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing key compliance training, oversight, communications and awareness initiatives for nearly 35,000 employees. Prior to joining Applied Materials, Carolyn held a variety of ethics and compliance related roles during her 25+ year career at Intel Corporation, including compliance program manager, internal auditor and regional investigations manager for Russia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Dan Mosher, CFE

Forensic Advisory Services, Grant Thornton

Dan Mosher focuses on investigating allegations of fraud and governance misconduct, including corruption and environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters; conducting due diligence; assessing, developing and enhancing anti-fraud and anti-corruption risk management programs; managing international projects; and supporting legal counsel in litigation and arbitration matters. He has a special focus on ESG compliance and disclosure matters and has contributed to numerous presentations and publications in this regard. This includes his contributions to a joint publication between Grant Thornton and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Managing Fraud Risks in an Evolving ESG Environment.

Mosher has over 20 years of experience investigating allegations in connection with some of the largest corruption cases in the world and with other complex fraud allegations across numerous industries globally, including investigations and risk assessments at financial institutions. From 2010 to 2014, he led the offshore forensic practice in India for the U.S. member firm of a Big Four accounting organization. Early in his career, he also worked on technical assistance projects for the U.S. Agency for International Development and with the World Bank, reviewing loan reporting compliance by country borrowers; analyzing the Bank’s decentralized lending portfolio; and developing financial models for credit origination.
